For the past 20 years, I’ve helped people redesign their lives and successfully move abroad.

I’ve lived and worked internationally across 65+ countries and have personally guided more than 1,500 people through the process of relocating overseas—from retirees and remote workers to entrepreneurs and families.

Today, I run a relocation consulting company and media platform dedicated to helping U.S. and Canadian citizens transition into an international lifestyle with clarity, confidence, and a proven plan. 

Why I Do This

I never fit into the traditional 9-to-5 path.

From a young age, I knew I wanted something different—but there wasn’t a clear roadmap for how to build a life outside the “American Dream.”

So I created one.

What started as a personal pursuit of freedom turned into a career helping others do the same—without the confusion, overwhelm, and costly mistakes that come with figuring it out alone.

HONING MY EXPERTISE

My path to living abroad began early, as a traveling surfer in my teens and a study-abroad student in college.

In 2002, I became a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar to Costa Rica, where I learned Spanish and how to integrate into a foreign culture. The following year, I studied International Business in Australia, where I learned how to help multinational companies relocate their employees around the world.

After graduating with an MBA in 2005, I moved to Costa Rica and spent 8 years working in international real estate, helping foreign nationals relocate, invest, and build businesses abroad. That experience gave me a front-row seat to what works (and what goes wrong) when people try to move overseas.

I even landed an episode of HGTV's House Hunters International!

 

HELPING YOU MOVE ABROAD

In 2011, I launched my first relocation company, helping digital nomads move internationally, and have since expanded to serve a broader global audience through consulting, media, and education.

Through Traveling with Kristin and my relocation consulting service, Ready to Relocate, I help clients:

  • Choose the right country based on lifestyle, budget, and long-term goals

  • Navigate visas, residency, banking, and legal requirements

  • Find housing and set up finances abroad
